Hopedale RCMP charge man for drug trafficking

A 26-year-old Hopedale man was arrested following a drug seizure at the local airstrip.

On November 13, RCMP initiated a drug investigation at the Hopedale airstrip after receiving information of a suspected package containing marihuana. Officers seized the package, which was enroute to the community of Natuashish, and found it contained a quantity of marihuana.

The 26-year-old was arrested and charged and is scheduled to appear in Hopedale Provincial Court on January 30, 2018.
