House in Mount Carmel destroyed by fire

Holyrood RCMP officers are investigating a house fire in Mount Carmel this morning.

The RCMP responded to the fire around 11 a.m.
Upon arrival, police officers found local firefighters on the scene battling flames coming from the residence.

The RCMP said in a news release, police spoke with the home owner Tom Nolan at the scene.

The RCMP said initial observations suggest the residence is a total loss. "Once the fire scene cools a trained fire investigator can examine the site."
