Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement affecting Terra Nova, Gander and vicinity, Bonavista north, Bay of Exploits, Grand Falls-Windsor and vicinity, and Buchans and the interior.
A very warm and humid airmass will create humidex values in the mid-to-high 30s.
The weather agency is offering a couple reminders.
Anyone engaged in outdoor activities should drink lots of water to stay hydrated. People with breathing issues or other aversions to hot weather should possibly consider delaying any planned strenuous activity until it cools down.
As well, people should make sure their pets are not left in locked vehicles or in direct sunlight.
