The fire broke out just after 10 p.m. as a man was doing some work on his truck in the shed located just feet away from his house on Logy Bay Road. Platoon chief Tony Renouf of the St. John’s Regional fire department said the shed and truck were completely destroyed in the blaze but the house suffered only minor damage with melted siding. A tanker truck was also called in from the Paradise station to help with a water supply since there were no hydrants in the area. No one was injured in the fire.
