Looks like today will be mainly cloudy in the metro region, Environment Canada forecasts. It’s 17C just after 7 a.m. in St. John’s on this Saturday morning

There’s a 40 per cent chance of drizzle this morning with some sunny periods. Showers are expected to start up later this afternoon with a possibility of thundershowers.
Fog patches are expected to ease this morning. Winds are expected to be southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40. Temperatures will be high at 23C except 16C along parts of the coast. The Humidex will be 26. Don’t forget your sunscreen, as the UV index will be 6.

Tomorrow, Sunday is expected to start off sunny, but a 60 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon.
