Twillingate RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team have dismantled a major marijuana grow operation in Cobb’s Arm.
The RCMP executed a search warrant at an outdoor property in the New World Island community on Thursday, Sept. 6. They seized 168 mature marijuana plants, some reaching heights of 10 feet, and various drug paraphernalia.
Cobb’s Arm resident, Calvin McLean, 49, was taken into custody and brought into court for charges of production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He is scheduled back in court on Oct. 30.
