A 34-year-old St. John's man spent the night in jail following a traffic stop on Topsail Road in Paradise early Wednesday morning.
The man was arrested around 2:30 a.m. for having a suspended license and owed more than $12,000 in outstanding fines.
He was taken to lockup and held pending a court appearance Wednesday morning.
In another call, around 6 p.m. Tuesday, a 32-year-old man was arrested for breaching court orders in the centre city area of St. John's.
He was also taken to lock up and held pending a court apeparance on Wednesday morning.
