Around 3:15 a.m. that morning, several people called police to report that a man had assaulted multiple people with a knife. When police responded, he was already gone.

According to a police report, it’s believed that at least three people were trying to subdue the man when they were injured. Three males, who are not believed to be familiar with the accused, reported injuries. Two of the victims were taken to hospital and released; police didn’t elaborate on the third victim’s injuries.

Evans, 22, was arrested Sunday night and appeared in court Monday morning. He is charged with aggravated assault and three counts of assault with a weapon.
