A 22-year-old man will face a judge today on an armed robbery charge following an incident in Conception Bay South Tuesday night.
The RNC said a person was held up in the community by a man brandishing a knife around 8 p.m. A number of personal items were taken.
About an hour later, RNC apprehended the suspect and charged him with armed robbery.
The suspect was taken to lockup and held overnight pending a court appearance in St. John's Wednesday.
There were no injuries reported in this incident.
The RNC responded to 183 calls for service during its most recent 24-hour reporting period.
