Missing person search linked to Paradise home invasion

Police in St. John’s are appealing to the public as they continue to search for a missing man who may be linked to a home invasion in Paradise.

Police in St. John's are searching for Mohamed Salim, 28, of Toronto, last seen Thursday night in the Dawes Road area of Paradise.

The search involved a helicopter and members of the Rovers ground search and rescue team and a police canine unitmost of the day Monday in the area of Three Island Pond in Paradise.

Missing is Mohamed Salim, 28, who is described as being 6’1” in height and 180-190lbs with long dark hair (possibly braided).

The RNC say they received a missing person’s report on Sunday and were told Salim, who had been visiting this province from Toronto, Ontario, was last seen on Thursday the area of Dawes Road in Paradise.

It is not known what if any involvement Salim may have had in a home invasion on Angel’s Road late Thursday night however, investigators believe that he may have information that could assist in the investigation.

Air, ground search linked to Paradise home invasion

 

Following the home invasion four men were arrested and charged.

Tyler Donahue, 23; Abdifatah Mohamed, 27; Mitchell Nippard, 25; and Gary Hennessy, 32, were all remanded into custody pending bail hearings in court on Monday.

The four were charged following what police are calling a targeted robbery at the home.

The RNC Major Crime Unit is continuing this search and is seeking the assistance of the general public.
