Two people were sent to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle struck a moose on the Trans-Canada Highway near Long Harbour early this morning, Sept. 12.
According to a release from the RCMP, the vehicle was extensively damaged in the collision.
The RCMP is encouraging drivers to be wary of moose while driving, particularly during the hours of dawn and dusk.
