One man was taken to hospital Saturday night following a moose-vehicle collision on Pitts Memorial Drive.
The incident happened at about 10 p.m. in the westbound lane at the Commonwealth Avenue exit and left the car with extensive damage to its front end and windshield.
The moose was not immediately found but was located later and removed from the scene by the wildlife department.
The male suffered minor facial injuries but no other occupants of the vehicle were injured.
