More than half of home lottery tickets sold

The Health Care Foundation says it has sold more than half the tickets for this year’s Hospital Home Lottery, and the draw’s 50/50 add-on jackpot is already around $216,000 (half of that goes to the winner).

This home at 64 Parsonage Rd. in St. John's is the grand prize of the Health Care Foundation's Hospital Home Lottery this year. It is custom built by Rockwood Homes, and includes a sunroom, a deck, an unplugged music studio and a bar. It is decorated by Marie Bishop Interiors and includes landscaping.

This year’s grand prize is a fully-furnished 3,900-square foot luxury home in Virginia Water Village in St. John’s. The house, custom built by Rockwood Homes, includes a sunroom, a deck, an unplugged music studio and a bar. It is decorated by Marie Bishop Interiors and includes landscaping.

The bonus prize winner gets to choose between 10-night trips to Barbados for three years or a $30,000 cash prize.

Other prizes include vehicles, vacations, hockey tickets, cameras, electronics and gift cards. There are more than 1,500 prizes to give out, and the Health Care Foundation says each ticket has a one in 25 chance of winning one.

Tickets are $100 each, three for $250 or five for $375. A $500 super pack includes five tickets, three cash calendar add-ons and 15 50/50 add-ons.

Those interested in purchasing tickets can call 753-1899 or 1-866-992-1899 or visit www.HCFHomeLottery.ca. Tickets can also be bought at the grand prize home on 64 Parsonage Dr., which will be open today from 12-9:30 p.m.; Saturday 12-6 p.m.; Sunday 12-8 p.m.; and Monday 12-9:30 p.m.

Previous home lotteries by the Health Care Foundation have benefited an array of health services including mental health and addictions, rehabilitation and continuing care, research, cardiac care and diagnostic imaging.
