Construction on a new roundabout is set to get started on Monday, September 10.
The roundabout will be at the intersection of Topsail Road and McNamara Drive, nearest the local Sobeys.
The town announced $1.5 million in funding for the roundabout as part of their 2018 municipal budget. Construction will last until the end of the 2018 construction season. The work will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, as well as every second Saturday.
“Over the past number of years, we have made considerable investment in our road network, all with the goal of having an efficient and effective flow of traffic throughout Paradise,” said Paradise Mayor Dan Bobett, in a release.
“Installing a roundabout at Topsail Road and McNamara Drive is our latest investment and once completed, it will greatly improve the traffic flow in the area and throughout Town.”
In addition, road upgrades to Clearview Heights will also begin, with that work set to finish in the 2019 construction season.
The public is reminded to use caution in the area. The town of Paradise apologizes for any inconvenience.
