Newfoundland Power is once again doing its part during National Environment Week, June 3-9.

The company’s employees are hosting EnviroFest events across the province this week, starting today, June 5, with a community beautification project at Little Bay Park in Port aux Basques.

There are two events on June 6 – one at the Holy Family Elementary Outdoor Classroom in Paradise and another at the Corduroy Brook Trail in Grand Falls-Windsor.

An EnviroFest event is being held at Big Pond Park in St. Bernard’s-Jacques Fontaine on June 7.

As well, an event is also planned for the Farm and Market in Clarenville with a date and time to be announced.

“We are very proud of the incredible difference our employees make by supporting the many communities across our province, in particular their commitment to the environment,” Peter Alteen, Newfoundland Power’s president and CEO, said in a release.

“Our employees have been rolling up their sleeves for over 20 years and leading by example to beautify and protect the places we call home.”
