With the deadline a little over a month away, the provincial government is encouraging applications for 2018-19 capital works funding programs.

Applicants can include municipalities, local service districts, engineering consultants, regional service boards and Inuit community governments.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 30.

Applications will be used for the provincial Municipal Capital Works Program, and the Small Communities Fund of the New Building Canada Fund as well as potentially other federal funding programs.

“Through our government’s vision for The Way Forward, we are leveraging federal funding, enhancing regionalization of services, and advancing important infrastructure projects,” Municipal Affairs and Environment Minister Eddie Joyce said in a news release.

“In making this call for applications, we are continuing to build better communities and ensure better, more sustainable services for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.”
