The upcoming Muskrat Falls inquiry was the subject of a panel discussion at Memorial University on Monday evening. Titled “Making the Muskrat Fall Inquiry Right,” the two-hour session, sponsored by MUN’s departments of anthropology and political science, included political science professor Stephen Tomblin, economist David Vardy and Sister Elizabeth Davis. Elder Jim Learning, a member of the Grand River Keeper Labrador and the Labrador Land Protectors, took part via video in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Much of the panel’s discussion focused on the shortcomings in the inquiry’s terms of reference.
