Police are investigating in the Bellevue Beach area after finding 25-year-old Philip Smith dead.
Smith was the former boyfriend of Cortney Lake, the woman missing from the Mount Pearl area since June and presumed murdered.
RCMP director of communications Laura Hepditch confirmed for that the police received a call early this morning after the body was discovered.
“There is no risk to the public,” Hepditch said.
