The passenger of a pickup was taken to hospital Saturday evening after the vehicle left the Outer Ring Road and crashed into the median.
The collision happened just before 6 p.m. in the westbound lane before the Paradise exit and left the truck with extensive damage. Westbound traffic was backed up about one kilometer as emergency personnel tended to the scene.
The man’s injuries did not appear serious. The male driver of the truck was checked by paramedics but did not appear injured.
No information was available as to the cause.
It was raining and windy at the time of the incident.
