A single-vehicle rollover down an embankment in heavy rain on the Trans-Canada highway sent one man to hospital at about 9:30 Wednesday night. The pickup left the road and rolled over while travelling in the westbound lane east of the Foxtrap access road and came to rest upside-down in some brush about ten meters from the road. The man was conscious and talking to firefighters as they removed him from the wreck and placed him on a backboard as the rain poured down on the rescuers and victim. They then carried him up the incline to a waiting ambulance. The man’s injuries are not thought to be serious.
