Police go door-to-door in St. John’s centre to find prohibited driver

St. John’s, N.L. — The CID was knocking on doors in the centre area of the city around suppertime Friday looking for a man who had been seen driving illegally.

A 45-year-old man, known to the officer to be prohibited from driving, was observed operating a motor vehicle.

The man was tracked down, and arrested.

He has been charged with two counts of driving while prohibited and two breaches of probation.

He was held at HMP to appear in court this morning.
