Police make arrest in Goulds collision, seek public’s help with investigation

Early Wednesday afternoon, police arrested and charged a man in relation to the single vehicle collision in Goulds on Monday, but they are asking for the public’s help with their investigation.

Early Wednesday afternoon, police arrested and charged a man in relation to the single vehicle collision in Goulds on Monday, but they are asking for the public’s help with their investigation.

The collision happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Monday on Main Road in Goulds near The Hayloft Lounge. One of the people in the vehicle sustained serious injuries.

Early Wednesday afternoon, a 20-year-old St. John’s man was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and breaches of court orders. He was held to appear in provincial court.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is continuing to investigate the collision and ask anyone with information to call them at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be provided anonymously at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
