At 9 a.m., patrol services responded to complaint of an intoxicated man on the street.

Police say he was unco-operative with the officers and that's what caused the altercation. The man had to be restrained and he was charged with several offences, including assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, uttering threats and breach of court order.

The officer was not injured.
