St. John’s, N.L. — A power outage that briefly affected mulitiple areas across the province was apparently caused when a unit at the Newfoundland Hyrdo Holyrood plant tripped unexpectedly. Hydro tweeted shortly after, “We have plenty of reserve on the system and all customers should be restored in the next few minutes.”
Power was restored to many areas after the brief outage. It’s not known if any outage areas remain at this time.
