RCMP investigate suspicious fire that destroyed Labrador hardware store

Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a hardware store in the town this morning (Wednesday).

The RCMP and Gander Municipal Police conducted a joint traffic operation April 13. In total, 27 citations were issued.

Police and the Happy-Valley-Goose Bay Fire Department responded to the fire Motherwood Hardware on Kelland Drive around 3 a.m. 

On arrival, the building was engulfed in flames and could not be saved.

Police are being assisted in the investigation by Fire and Emergency Services.
