Police were called to a residence at 6 a.m. by a homeowner who stated two injured men came to his door and said unknown suspects entered their home, tied them up and assaulted them, the RCMP stated in a news release.
Both men were transported to hospital in Gander to receive treatment for their injuries.
The matter is under investigation by Glovertown RCMP with the assistance of the RCMP’s forensic identification section and the Holyrood RCMP’s general investigation section.
Police have no public safety concerns and do not believe this was a random act.
