St. John’s — The RNC’s major crime unit is investigating that happened at an incident at a Conception Bay South home, where at least one gunshot was fire, Wednesday night.
At about 11 p.m., officers with RNC’s operational patrol services division, forensic identification services, police dog services and criminal investigation division responded to a report of a weapons offence on Chaytor’s Road in the Chamberlains area.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area.
During the investigation, it was determined that at least one firearm had been discharged at a residence. No injuries reported as a result.
Investigators believe the individuals involved were known to each other.
No charges have yet been laid.
Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. They’re also asking anyone with CCTV footage or dash cam video from Wednesday in the area of Chaytor’s Road to contact the RNC.
