RNC officers arrest woman after pursuit on foot

St. John’s, N.L. — A women wanted by police fled after a vehicle she was in was stopped around 10:30 p.m. Friday. 
RNC officers had seen the 29-year-old as she was travelling in the vehicle, and because they knew there was a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court, pulled the vehicle over. 
When the vehicle stopped the woman fled on foot and was chased down by the officers. 
She was arrested and held for court.
