The man sent to hospital has since been released, according to the RNC, who issued a brief statement on the events at the Milton Road home this afternoon.
The “violent home robbery,” as police have described it, took place at shortly before a second break-in the police believe to be linked. Both locations are believed by police to have been specifically targeted.
The alleged robbery at the second home, on Cameo Drive in Paradise, reportedly took place shortly after the first, although there was no one in that house at the time.
Police —patrol services, criminal investigation, forensics identification and police dog services — were called out to the second location at about 9:20 p.m.
They learned of the first robbery at Milton Road through the course of that investigation.
The RNC stated there is concern over the two, stolen shotguns reported taken from Milton Road and they are asking anyone with information relating to either of the alleged robberies or the guns to contact them, at 729-8000, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
