The two break-ins took place at homes on the Conception Bay Highway on Sept. 13. Police say both homes were broken into "crudely" as the intruder(s) broke glass to get in.
The six stolen firearms are all restricted long guns that had been locked and stored appropriately, the RCMP says. They have serial numbers and are said to be easily identifiable.
The RCMP says its Forensic Identification Section have recovered undisclosed evidence from the residences that were targeted, and numerous tips have come in.
Anyone who has information regarding the break-ins is asked to call police at 229-3892 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
