CAPSTAN ISLAND, NL – An 82-year-old Black Tickle man has died from injuries he sustained after the snowmobile he was driving struck a pickup truck on Route 510 near Capstan Island on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
According to the Forteau RCMP, the pickup truck was travelling north when the man’s snowmobile entered the highway and they collided.
The deceased man was initially taken to the health clinic in Forteau and then transferred to St. Anthony where he later died.
The police investigation into the accident is ongoing.
