St. John's firefighters tackle downtown house fire

Crews from the St. John’s Regional Fire Department were quick to respond to a house fire on the southside of St. John’s this morning.

Crews were called out to reports of a structure fire at 431 Southside Rd. around 9:30 this morning.

The fire was quickly brought under control, although fire and smoke damage was visible up the front façade of the home.

There were no details on the home’s occupants, although no injuries were reported. A family dog was also safely removed from the building.
