The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU – NL), consisting of members from the RCMP and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, said in a news release members of its Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) executed a search warrant at a St. John's residence in relation to a six-month child pornography investigation. The suspect was arrested and charged for distribution of child pornography and remains in police custody.
He is expected to appear in provincial court today.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing and police say further charges under the Criminal Code are pending.
