The city said in a news release it will use the permanent list of voters maintained by Elections NL.
Eligible city voters should check the list to ensure they are registered and their address is correct so that they can receive the right vote-by-mail kit.
Visit stjohns.ca and go to the “municipal election” page under “city hall.”

If you are not on the list or the information is not accurate, there are instruction to request a change.
People can also call the Access St. John’s Service Centre at 311 or 754‐CITY (2489) or drop in to the Service Centre,  first floor City Hall, 10 New Gower St.
Reasons why residents may not be on the list include having moved to the city or within the city, recently having turned 18 or a name change.
The city noted that receiving a tax bill from the city doesn't guarantee you will be on the voter’s list.

All eligible voters in a household must be registered to receive a voter’s kit in September. You are considered eligible if you are a Canadian citizen over the age of 18 and resident of the city by at least Aug. 27.
