Around 3 p.m. Bonavista RCMP, Fewers Ambulance and the Bonavista Fire Department responded to a single side-by-side crash on a local ATV trail. The four-wheeler had rolled-over.
There were three occupants in the vehicle at the time of the collision. The driver, a female youth, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time later.
The two passengers, also youths, received minor injuries.
The police investigation into the collision continues.
