The Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP are investigating the theft of tools from the entrance to Cape Ray.

According to police, numerous tools were stolen from the crew installing the guardrails between Port aux Basques and Cape Ray, including a chop saw and two chainsaws.

The theft is believed to have occurred in the early hours of Sept. 10.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers.
