A pair of Friday night collisions in St. John’s left five vehicles damaged but there were no serious injuries.

One of the collisions happened on Thorburn Road east of Mount Scio Road and involved a car and pickup. It appears the pickup was pulling out of a parking lot and was struck by the car. One person was checked by Eastern Health paramedics at the scene, but no one went to hospital.

A second incident minutes later left three vehicles damaged following a chain-reaction rear-end collision on Harbour Drive. It appears one car stopped at a crosswalk in front of The Keg restaurant when the two vehicles behind collided into the stopped car. Several people were checked by paramedics at that scene, but none went to hospital.

Both incidents are under investigation.
