Earlier story: RNC advising of inaccurate posters around St. John's school zones

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is advising the public about inaccurate posters that have recently been spotted in the area of Larkhall Street in St. John’s.

The RNC said in a news release, information has been received that posters were put up near school zones on Larkhall Street, depicting a man as being a sex offender.

However, the man depicted on the posters is not on the Sex Offender Registry.

The RNC is continuing to investigate this matter and is seeking the assistance of the general public. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
