Police are still searching for Trevor Hamlyn who was last seen June 16.

A spokesperson with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said Sunday afternoon they are still asking anyone with surveillance footage, particularly in the area of Imogene Crescent and Trails End Drive area to contact them. This includes surveillance cameras on property and dash cams in vehicles.

Police are concerned about Hamlyn’s well-being.

A volunteer search effort on Saturday clewed up with no sign of the 33-year-old, who is described as 5’10”, 230 lbs, with a bald head and goatee.

His sister, Ashley Hamlyn, said the group of about 30 searchers and a couple of dogs searched Peter Duffy Park, a portion of Three Island Pond where police permitted them to look, Octagon Pond, and some residential areas of Paradise.

“We didn’t find anything but now at least we can mark it off our list that those have been checked,” she said, adding: "We are hopeful."

She said the family has other areas in mind to search, but police are currently doing their own search of those areas first. She said police are using a K9 unit and volunteer searchers could throw the dogs off, so they are currently waiting to hear back from police about their search efforts before they do another volunteer search again this Saturday.

Ashley said they will put details of the next search on the Facebook group ‘Have You Seen Trevor Hamlyn Aka Pepsi?’ As of Sunday evening, the plan was to meet again on Saturday morning, June 30, at 9 a.m. at a location to be determined.

“We want to see what information we gather during the week and we’ll decide later,” she said.

“Right now, we’re just asking that everyone keep an eye out and check any surveillance that they may have that’s in the Paradise area because that’s the last place he was seen,” she said.

Ashley is also printing flyers to help with the search, and she has an electronic version that can be e-mailed to anyone who would like to print their own to display. Anyone who would like to do so can contact Ashley Hamlyn on Facebook through the group ‘Have You Seen Trevor Hamlyn Aka Pepsi?’.

Trevor Hamlyn was first reported missing on Tuesday but was last seen Saturday afternoon, June 16 in the area of Imogene Crescent in Paradise between 2 and 3:30 p.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

People can also provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
