There were no injuries but a vehicle-fire completely destroyed a car in St. John’s Friday night.
The fire erupted in a car that was travelling westbound on Pitts Memorial Drive just west of downtown St. John’s.
The driver was able to pull over and both he and the vehicle’s other occupant were able to escape before it became fully engulfed in flames.
St. John’s Regional Fire Department firefighters arrived minutes later and extinguished the blaze within minutes.
Westbound traffic was disrupted until the scene could be cleared.
