A vehicle that was reported stolen on Main Street in Stephenville at 6:15 p.m. on Friday was recovered in St. John’s during the weekend.
Corp. John Butler of the Bay St. George RCMP said members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction and when they ran a check learned that the vehicle had been stolen.
A 24-year-old Stephenville man, who is originally from Central Newfoundland, has been arrested.
The vehicle was still in St. John’s on Monday and the owner was making arrangements to get it back.
