Woman hit on St John’s crosswalk

A female pedestrian was sent to hospital Monday night after being struck by a vehicle on Cavendish Square in St. John’s.

She was on the crosswalk when she was struck at around 7:30 p.m. Paramedics treated her at the scene and transported her to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The RNC continue to investigate this collision.

In another, unrelated, overnight incident, the RNC stopped a suspicious vehicle near Ropewalk Lane and discovered the 28-year-old male driver was driving without a licence and was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.

He was taken into custody and held for a court appearance Tuesday morning.
