Paradise, N.L.— Michael Slade made a brief appearance in provincial court in St. John's Saturday morning facing a number of charges including assault after a disturbance in Paradise Friday night.
RNC were called to a disturbance in a residential area of Paradise shortly after 8 p.m. Friday. Slade left the area before police arrived, but the 31-year-old was located a short time later and brought to the lockup.
He is charged with assault, uttering threats, breaching a recognizance and breaching his probation.
In court Saturday morning, the Crown opposed Slade's release and sought a no-contact order. He is scheduled to appear in court again Monday morning.
