St. John’s, N.L. — A man was picked up Wednesday evening after the RNC responded to a report of an assault in progress in the downtown area of the St. John’s.

The 34-year-old was charged with assault causing bodily harm. The victim was treated at hospital and later released.

The accused was released to appear in court at a later date.
