Moose-related accident near Badger this morning

It's believed a moose crossing the Trans-Canada Highway caused an early morning accident near Badger earlier this morning, Dec. 8.

GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, NL – Two people were taken to hospital early this morning, Dec. 8, following an accident on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Badger.

According to the Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP, the vehicle’s driver reportedly swerved to avoid a moose crossing the road and lost control of the vehicle, winding up in the ditch.

A passing motorist helped the four occupants in the vehicle. The two individuals who were hurt are believed to have non-life threatening injuries.
