ST. JOHN’S, NL – The provincial government is hoping a new guide will give people everything they need to know about immigration.
That includes employers and communities as well as those who are new to Newfoundland and Labrador.
“Whether you are a newcomer who wants to settle in the province, a community interested in learning more about immigration, a permanent resident working toward Canadian citizenship, or an employer with a difficult-to-fill position, the Newfoundland and Labrador Guide to Immigration is a valuable resource that provides information on the required steps in the immigration process,” Advanced Education, Skills and Labour Minister Al Hawkins said in a news release.
The guide, which was developed by the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism, contains information on the benefits of immigration, immigration programs, and the role of communities and other stakeholders in supporting immigration in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The guide and companion materials can be downloaded at www.aesl.gov.nl.ca/guide_to_immigration.html.
