The old Dr. John I. O’Connell Centre in Corner Brook, a former hospital and long-term care centre still owned by Western Health, shows signs of repeated vandalism.
There is plenty of broken glass around the grounds and many of the windows have been boarded up.
Peering through the few windows that are still intact at ground level seems to indicate the damage continues inside the vacant building.
The Western Star requested interviews Monday with Western Health and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary regarding concerns for this property, but none were provided as of press time.
