HARBOUR GRACE, NL — Some progress has been made in the case against three men accused of committing a home invasion in Victoria.
Jordan Aubie (27), Paul Hanlon (50), and Rocky Nicholson (56), were allegedly involved in a violent home invasion that took place last September in Victoria. The three were scheduled for a status report on their matters Wednesday morning, Feb. 21, in the Harbour Grace provincial courthouse.
Aubie, who is facing charges of breaking and entering and committing an indictable offence, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon or imitation, and being disguised with intent is prepared to enter not guilty pleas, and elected for a provincial court hearing. His trial is set to take place from Thursday, July 19 to Friday, July 20.
Nicholson, who is facing the same set of charges as Aubie, has yet to obtain a lawyer for his matter, and is set to reappear for an update on Friday, Mar. 16.
Hanlon is facing the same four charges as well, with an additional four laid against him. These include two charges of failing to comply with his probation order, failure to comply with conditions of recognizance or undertaking, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. Hanlon elected for a supreme court hearing, with a preliminary inquiry taking place in Harbour Grace on Friday, Mar. 16.
