A 62-year-old man from Paradise is headed to trial at Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court in St. John’s on child sex charges.
The man, whose identity is banned from publication in order to protect the victims, was committed to stand trial Tuesday morning by provincial court Judge Colin Flynn, after a short preliminary inquiry.
The man is facing 10 charges: four counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual interference, making explicit material available to a child under 16, exposing his genitals to a child under 16, and committing an indecent act in public.
He is set to be arraigned in the fall.
