St. John's, N.L. — Police are still trying to piece together what happened to cause a house fire on Mount Scio Road last month.

The fire broke out in the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 19, on Mount Scio Road. Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, along with RNC’s operational patrol services were called to the scene just after 4 p.m.

There was no one in the house when emergency responders arrived, but the fire destroyed the two-storey house, located near MUN Botanical Gardens.

Fire investigators believe circumstances around this fire to be suspicious in nature and are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the Sunday of the fire.
